Tesh’s thoughtful approach to piercing stems from his years of experience in music, jewelry, design, and performance art. His fascination with self-adornment began when he discovered the life work of Fakir Musafar, who used suspension and body modifications as ceremonial practice and magic technology. Tesh treats piercing as a means of imprinting one’s essence into the flesh, as an act of self-making. In 2019, after a career in the music industry, he stumbled into a three year long apprenticeship at the now-closed New York Adorned under the mentorship of head piercer Matthew Mayfield. This led to the creation of Vanta Studio in 2025, where he now brings his passion for piercing to Brooklyn.

Tesh maintains a keen eye for aesthetic balance  while celebrating his clients’ distinctive vision, particularly enjoying conch piercings and custom pieces. He is most fulfilled when his clients embrace piercing as a vehicle to better understand and express themselves.
